1.	Fold The 2 x 6 piece in half and then fold each half inwards to make a binding.

2.	Place the binding over one 6 inch side of the vinyl and sew it in place. This will be the vinyl top. Set aside.

3.	Fold the 18  x 6 piece at 5 inches and again at 6 inches accordion style as shown below. This is the  front. Set this piece aside.

4.	Fold the 16 ½ x 7 ½ piece at 7 3/4 inches. There will be 1 inch overhang. Sew a ¼ inch seam on each side and turn this right side out. Turn ¼ inch at the bottom in so it is even with the seams. Press the piece.

5.	Fold and press the remaining 1 inch in half and half again creating a ¼  inch hem - this will be used for the front binding.

6.	Fold ¼ inch hems on three sides of the  on the 3 x 5 inch piece.

7.	Fold and stitch a double ¼ inch hem on this piece. This is the top of the pen holder.
