If you have a serger then serge the edges of the towel with a 4- |

Fold over the two long edges ¼ inch and stitch this hem in place. |

Fold the back hem up ½ inch and stitch in place. |

Measure up from the front edge 3 inches from the edge and make a line all the way across the fabric parallel to the edge with a wash- |

Using a pin, pull out three rows of threads along the line you just made. Pull the threads all the way from one end of the fabric to the other. |

Fold over the hem to one thread below the pulled rows and press in place.

Use a pin stitch, entredeux stitch, double zigzag or one of your choice, to stitch the hem. Choose one that you like by testing stitches on a small scrap of linen in which you have pulled threads and turned under a tiny hem. |
