Directions
1.
Fold the linen in half and cut out the pattern. If your bottle is shorter or longer than the pattern length, make the needed adjustment along the dotted line.
2.
Using a size 80 needle and white thread, add the lace to the top outside of the apron gathering slightly. Refer to the cover photo.
3.
Cover the lace from step 2 with a small piece of the bias tape.
4.
Add the lace to the sides and bottom gathering slightly and starting at the armhole. Do not add lace to the armhole. The lace should be added right sides together using a tight zigzag stitch (L=1.5,W=3.5)
5.
Change to the topstitching needle and sew the lace flat by adding a decorative entredeux-type stitch to the front and keeping the newly created seam allowance to the inside of the back of the piece. Use stabilizer for this.
6.
Find the center of the bias strip. Measure 2½ inches from the center. Pin the bias tape to the top of the armhole on each side at this point. Pin the tape along the armhole.
7.
Change to the size 80 needle. Start at one end of the bias tape and sew the tape together where it hangs off the armholes. Sew the bias tape to the armholes. Continue around the neck opening and down the other armhole and second apron tie.
8.
Sew the three rose appliqués down the center front. Refer to the photo for placement.
