inch seam. Leave the top open.

Clip the seams on the curves.

Turn right side out and press.
8.
Sew the two lining pieces in the same manner, except leave a 3 inch opening in one side to turn the stocking later.

Leave the lining wrong side out, clip  and press.
10.
Fold the 1 x 3 ½ inch piece towards the center and press. Fold them again creating a ¼ by 3 ½ inch piece. This loop is similar to a belt loop.
11.
Sew s seam on both sides of the loop.
12.
Attach both raw ends to the outside top of the linen piece on the side where the heal is keeping all raw edges together and the loop facing the bottom of the stocking. The loop should be to the back of the stocking.
13.
Slide the linen into the lining piece.
14.
Sew around the top stitching a ½ inch seam allowance..
15.
Turn the stocking right side out through the side opening in the lining..
Sew the opening closed and press the piece.
