This is a perfect gift for a newborn. It is a dainty baby bonnet that starts as a handkerchief made of Irish linen, silk and French cotton lace. It is then basted together as a baby bonnet. When the baby gets married, this heirloom is used by the bride as the “something old” to carry. The poem is suitable for either a boy or a girl baby. This can also be given new to a bride with instructions on how to turn in into a bonnet.
